EYFS - Explorers & Investigators

Meet Our Class

EYFS Staff Team

Welcome to the JPS EYFS Unit!

Together we are made up of the nursery children (the Explorers), and the reception children (the Investigators).

We love looking forward to every day, welcoming the children in with their friends and making sure that every moment is filled with learning, laughter and fun along the way.

We make sure that the children have opportunities to learn together, as well as having focused learning time for the reception and nursery children to meet their different needs in English and maths.  Our continuous provision is designed to build the children's independent skills with the support they all need, basing the learning on the children's interests.

We learn.... A LOT!

We have fun... A LOT!

We build relationships... A LOT!

We are active... A LOT!

We encourage parents to get involved with children's learning, and you can always find out more about this both in our newsletters and on the EYFS page of the website...

Remember to check the photo gallery at the bottom of the page to see what the children have been up to.

P.E. Days

Our children have active unfit sessions to begin their day each morning in the unit.  As well as this, we have 2 weekly sessions for focused P.E. in the school hall.  Children are supported to take their shoes and socks off and put them back on by themselves.  Please help the children to gain independence by encouraging and supporting them with this at home.
